Bio

At AHESSC, Stuart is responsible for supporting the projects funded under the AHRC-JISC-EPSRC e-Science Initiative. He works closely with a range of individuals and organisations involved in developing the Initiative's programme and disseminating its outcomes.

Stuart received a PhD in Aegean Bronze Age Archaeology from the University of Durham in 2002. Before joining AHeSSC he worked for the AHRC's ICT in Arts and Humanities Research Programme. He has published on topics in e-science generally, on e-science methods in archaeology, and in the fields of Minoan environmental archaeology and geospatial archaeological computing. He is also a Visiting Research Fellow in the School of Human and Environmental Science's archaeology department at the University of Reading.
