The UK has a number of dedicated centres to support and develop e-Science within the academic community. These include the National Centre for e-Social Science in Manchester, and the National e-Science Centre in Edinburgh. Some organizations are geared to supporting specific tyupes of activity, such as the Digital Curation Centre, or the Access Grid Support Centre. All these form key points for collaboration and information sharing with the arts and humanities e-science community, and AHeSSC seeks to promote and facilitate such contact.

The e-Science Core Programme supported a network of regional e-Science centres. These provide local focii for e-Science activity and expertise within institutions, and most of these have continued in some form since the Programme's end. For a full list, see the NeSC website.
